Advice for correct maintenance of an automatic Saeco espresso coffee machine:
- Brew Group maintenance :
- Use Saeco cleaning tablets to remove old coffee from the brew group filters
- Use the Saeco grease (included in the Saeco Service kit) once a month to maintain your Brewing group in perfect operation.
- Use Saeco tablets to degrease the brew group:
- This operation should be carried out at least once a month if 2/3 coffees are brewed daily.
- Perform a cleaning cycle more frequently if more coffees are brewed.
- Changing the water filter: Aqua Prima or Brita Intenza (according to the model): Change the filter whenever indicated by the machine:
- To install the new filter, follow the instructions in the Instruction Manual.
- Descale the machine using the Saeco liquid descaling solution :
- Descale the machine at least every three months or when prompt by the unit whichever occurs first.
- Before descaling the machine, remove the filter inserted in the water tank
- Primea Cappuccino maintenance:
- This model requires descaling and brew group maintenance the same as other machines. Additional maintenance requirements include:
- When "Milk rinsing" flashes and you have finished using the machine, activate the rinsing cycle (20 sec) then remove the milk container and placed it in the fridge.
- When “Milk cleaning” appears make sure to run the cycle within the 20 days otherwise the unit may block. Use “Saeco Cleaning Powder” to sanitise and clean the milk dispensers (15 min).
- Wash the brew group under lukewarm running water at least once a week, do not use soap.
- Clean the coffee circuit and brewing unit filters at least once a month if 2/3 coffees are brewed daily using the Saeco cleaning tablets (5min).
- Grease the brewing unit once a month using the Saeco food safe grease
- Perform these cleaning cycles more frequently if more coffees are brewed
- Change regularly Saeco Brita Filter to improve the quality of the water used and your coffee.
